Seth Rogen is hyper-aware of his limitations as a White comedian. In a new episode of The Last Laugh podcast, Rogen revealed that while he has long been committed to highlighting the “hypocrisy” of the police department, there are certain lines that, as a White man, he’s unable to cross. Unlike black comedians Tyler the Creator and Jordan Peele, who consistently lampoon the establishment, Rogen must be far more careful with his pranks. “In America, it’s more dangerous to be White in public,” he said.Rogen has a long history of riffing on the White experience in America, but his new show and other series he is appearing in portrays himself as a police officer.
